Helldivers 2 CEO Shams Jorjani is already testing his assigned loadout as the community's $2,000 charity challenge heats up.

The $2,000 charity challenge aimed squarely at Arrowhead Game Studios is no longer just two separate Reddit threads. Shams Jorjani, CEO of Arrowhead, has taken to the official Helldivers 2 Discord to confirm that he is actively preparing, and this is the message he kicked off the recent conversation with:
Hey – help me identify everything in the loadout assigned to me. Grenade Pistol, StA-11 SMG – what else?
For those who missed our earlier coverage, Redditor u/Key_Complex_150 put $1,000 on the line for a charity of Arrowhead’s choosing if four of their developers could complete a full D10 Operation on Oshaune. The pot has since doubled in size, with Jorjani already working through the required kit.

A second pledge arrived via Reddit from u/BrainstormAndTheory, stacking an additional $1,000 on top of the original challenge with one important addition: each of the four named Arrowhead staff members would have to complete and extract from a D10 Operation using their assigned loadouts, with the “Booster Trio” (Hellpod Space Optimization + Stamina Enhancement + Vitality Enhancement) benched entirely for being too meta:

The four named participants are Niklas Malmborg (Design Director), B Vitamin (Player Support Agent), Shams Jorjani (CEO), and Alexus, aka Alex Kravchenko (Senior Game Designer). Their assigned loadouts are as follows:
Niklas Malmborg:
| Slot | Gear |
|---|---|
| Armor: | GS-66 Lawmaker |
| Primary: | R-6 Deadeye |
| Secondary: | P-19 Redeemer |
| Throwable: | G-12 High Explosive |
| Stratagems: | ARC-3 Arc Thrower, M-102 Fast Recon Vehicle, A/LAS-98 Laser Sentry, Orbital EMS Strike |
| Booster: | Flexible Reinforcement Budget |
B Vitamin:
| Slot | Gear |
|---|---|
| Armor: | A-9 Helljumper |
| Primary: | AR-32 Pacifier |
| Secondary: | LAS-7 Dagger |
| Throwable: | G-7 Pineapple |
| Stratagems: | M-1000 Maxigun, A/FLAM-40 Flame Sentry, Eagle Cluster Bomb, Orbital Smoke Strike |

Shams Jorjani:
| Slot | Gear |
|---|---|
| Armor: | UF-50 Bloodhound |
| Primary: | StA-11 SMG |
| Secondary: | GP-31 Grenade Pistol |
| Throwable: | G-109 Urchin |
| Stratagems: | FAF-14 Spear, Orbital Railcannon Strike, Eagle Napalm Airstrike, Orbital Precision Strike |
| Booster: | Sample Scanner |
Alex Kravchenko (Alexus):
| Slot | Gear |
|---|---|
| Armor: | AD-11 Livewire |
| Primary: | LAS-17 Double-Edge Sickle |
| Secondary: | P-11 Stim Pistol |
| Throwable: | K-2 Throwing Knife |
| Stratagems: | SH-51 Directional Shield, TX-41 Sterilizer, MD-6 Anti-Personnel Minefield, Eagle Airstrike |
| Booster: | Firebomb Hellpods |
Jorjani has already been running his kit, reporting back to the Discord in real time: short on 500 Super Credits for the Urchin, commenting on the Spear’s cooldown being “nuts,” finishing a run on Difficulty 7, and moving up to 8. The StA-11 got a lukewarm review (“not amaze as a primary”), which, fair enough.
Alexus, meanwhile, has been assigned throwing knives and the Sterilizer on D10, which does feel more like a punishment than a dare.
Arrowhead Devs Not Knowing Their Own Loadouts: Fair or Not?

The Discord conversation did not go unnoticed. Over on r/HelldiversUnfiltered, one of the many products of the increasingly fractured community of Helldivers 2, a new post has started gaining traction, aiming at Jorjani for asking the community to walk him through his assigned loadout:
Genuinely, why can’t devs identify the items in their own game?
by u/chippedthumbnail in HelldiversUnfiltered
The criticism is understandable on the surface, but Jorjani is the CEO of the company, not a weapon designer. His job involves running the company, not memorizing, say, the Force of Law warbond pages.

The more relevant thing is that he is actually doing this, turning up on the Discord, asking questions, and running unfamiliar loadouts toward a challenge that benefits charity. That counts for something, and the community calling it out rather than appreciating it says more about the current mood than it does about Jorjani.
