Hollow Knight: Silksong fans have waited since 2019 for concrete news about the game. Things have been heating up in recent times, with Team Cherry assuring fans that Hollow Knight: Silksong is launching in 2025, giving fans that last little droplet of hope that they need to get excited.
Gamescom 2025 Was Another Disappointment for Hollow Knight: Silksong Fans
A demo of Hollow Knight: Silksong is available to attendees of Gamescom 2025, which really got fans’ hopes up. However, when Gamescom 2025’s Opening Night Live broadcast started, host Geoff Keighley only repeated information that was already known: that the game is launching in 2025.
However, it’s now the time to get genuinely excited, as Team Cherry has revealed that there will be a Hollow Knight: Silksong announcement broadcast on its YouTube channel. This will go live on Thursday, Aug. 21, at 7:30 AM PT/10:30 AM ET/3:30 PM BST.
What Will Be Announced At the Hollow Knight: Silksong Event?
Considering that it’s already August, if Hollow Knight: Silksong is going to make its 2025 release date, then Team Cherry will need to announce a release date soon. If the company doesn’t, or it announces a delay, then fans will be livid.
However, it’s genuinely starting to feel like Hollow Knight: Silksong is nearly ready. The fact that there are demos out there means that the game must be approaching completion, and if there was a delay, then the devs would have handed that announcement to Geoff Keighley and run for the hills.
