Mina the Hollower is both surprisingly difficult and has a surprisingly long runtime, no matter how you play. Much like its main inspirations, you’ll find there’s a lot more meat on its bones than you might expect. Here’s how long it takes to beat Mina the Hollower.

How long does it take to beat Mina the Hollower?

Depending on how much you explore and experience, Mina the Hollower takes between 20 and 30 hours to beat.

If you mainline the story and don’t run into any major roadblocks, expect a first playthrough to only cost about 20 hours of your time. We’re assuming you’re upgrading your weapons and stats, not dying too much, and are having only a moderate amount of trouble with bosses.

Should you go out of your way to find secrets, farm upgrade materials, and do side content, Mina the Hollower can easily run 30+ hours. You can push that value even higher with modifiers, or if, like me, you have particular trouble with a specific boss but are too stubborn to come back later.

The longest Mina the Hollower playthroughs could reach double the normal runtime, as you unlock new modes as you play. Exploring every nook and cranny or completing the game more than once will, of course, cost you a lot more time.
