The premiere of Andorra season 2 is coming soon, and we explain if this will be the last part of the series and what comes after it.
Season 2 of Andor is set to premiere soon. The loved Star Wars series is set to return on April 22 on Disney+ with new episodes that will introduce us to the another adventures of Cassian played by Diego Luna. Fans of the production are probably wondering if they will get anything more after season 2.
Will season 2 of Andor be the last?
We have bad news for them – season 2 of Andor will definitely be the last. The series has been planned for only 2 series and the events of the finale are to merge with the beginning of the Rogue One movie, which means that there will be no more stories about Cassian to tell. Season 2 will exhaust the possibilities until the very end, as Star Wars series creator Tony Gilroy has planned the new season in such a way that its action will take place over 4 years, with one year jumps every 3 episodes. This means that this season will receive 12 episodes.
So, after Andor’s season 2 ends, fans will be left to watch the film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which depicts the further fate of Cassian Andor. It is him that can be treated as a continuation of the series, although it was made first.
Andor season 1 showed viewers how Cassian became involved with the Rebellion. In season 2, we’ll see how he grew stronger as a Rebel and fought for the freedom of the Galaxy. We’ll see how he became the hero we met in Rogue One, as season 1 didn’t tell us everything about the development of this character, who still has a long way to go before he shapes himself into the ready-to-sacrifice Rebel we met in 2016.
