It’s been quite a while since Vampire Survivors has conquered Steam, to the amazement of Valve itself. While a lot of similar games have been created since VS release, like Halls of Torment or Death Must Die, among many others, the OG is still around pushing updates and new content. The most recent one, entitled “Emerald Diorama”, is a free DLC based on SaGa franchise. Alongside many new additions, it introduces The Coop. This doesn’t mean co-op, like in “cooperation” game mode, yet coop meaning a cage, or enclosure, for poultry. There, an interesting achievement and unlock dwells – “Gaze of Gaea”. In order to get it you have to kill 0 enemies on that stage. This may seem easy, but in a game about disposing enemies en masse it can be counterintuitive. How to do it easily then?

It is a nice way of rewarding players that the achievements in Vampire Survivors often go toe to toe with unlockables in the game, meaning that not only will you get a virtual trophy and satisfaction, but also a new item that you can use. To get Gaze of Gaea, though, you are tasked with defeating 0 enemies in The Coop stage of the production. How to achieve this in a game about rending hordes of foes?
Surprisingly, it’s quite easy, though you will have to prepare properly first. Before anything else, you will have to unlock The Coop stage itself. To do so you will need to pick up 500 Floor Chickens across all maps in the game. This is an item that looks like a roasted chicken body which restores 30 HP. Now, with the arena unlocked, make sure to choose a character that does not use projectile weapons. Good picks would be Divano, Gallo, Keitha or Trouser. Also, uncheck any Arcanas and as soon as the game starts, banish your first weapon choice.
With all the preparations done, the easy part remains. What remains to do now is to avoid any running chickens and not move too much in general. Try remaining roughly in the position where you spawned. Notice that the timer at the top of the screen won’t start ticking, as it only begins measuring time after the first foe has been defeated. Do not worry about that in the slightest, as after a minute (in real time) of avoiding combat, you will witness a cutscene of a sort and the achievement will be yours. Good luck!
