Fast travel in RuneScape: Dragonwilds is important for survival. If you’re tired of hoofing it through Temple Woods for the eighth time, here’s how to unlock and use the fast travel system. It’s all tied to one thing: Lodestones.

How to Unlock Fast Travel
You’ll need to get your hands on a Vault Core. These only come from Vaults, which are dungeons scattered around Ashenfall.
-
One early vault is in the southeast part of Temple Woods.
-
Inside, you’ll dodge spike traps, avoid fire blasts, and fight Vault Guardians.
-
At the end, or hidden in a few spots, you’ll find Vault Cores on pedestals.
Once you pick up your first Vault Core, the Lodestone crafting recipe will unlock.
How to Craft a Lodestone
You’ll need a crafting area at your base. Then gather:
-
32 Stone
-
20 Rune Essence
-
1 Vault Core
Craft the Lodestone and place it wherever you want your teleport spot. Most players build one at their main base and carry materials to drop a second one on the road. Teleporting is only possible between two Lodestones—so think of it like setting up two bus stops and bouncing between them.
Pro Tip: Always Carry Lodestone Materials
When you’re off exploring, bring an extra Vault Core, Rune Essence, and Stone. That way, if you’re deep in a swamp or snowy cliff and need to get back fast, you can drop a new Lodestone and warp out. Then warp back again when you’re ready.
Final Blurb
Fast travel isn’t handed to you, so you have to earn it, but once you’ve got Lodestones working it turns the whole map into your playground. No more backtracking. No more rage-running through goblin camps. Just blink, stash, repeat.
