Time to use your head. Pokémon Pokopia can be pretty open-ended, so you might find a trapped Onix, or be told that you need a Pokémon with the Bulldoze skill first; it’s honestly hard to know. Either way, you will need to free Oniy, so this is where to find him, and how to get him out of the jam he is in. To find Onix, play through the game until Squitle requests that you knock down some stone walls for him. This can only happen after you have learned to smash some boulders by getting Hitmonchan to appear. To get Hitmonchan, you need to set up a punching bag, which can be found in the ruins near the Pokémon Center in Withered Wasteland, beside a bench. When he arrives, learn his Rock Smash move, then complete his exploration request. After that, Squirtle should ask you to break the wall for him. On the opposite side of the wall is a beach and a cave. Squirtle will be too afraid to explore the cave, but venture inside and take the left turn, and you will find more breakable blocks, and someone trapped behind them. Smash your way in to find Onix. You can switch to Ditto form automatically if you try to crawl through the gaps in the unbreakable blocks. Talk to Onix, who will ask for help, and then it’s time ot go and talk to Professor Tangrowth. If Tangrowth has any quests for you, then you will need to finish them up before he will talk to you about the trapped Onix, so just wrap them up for him to proceed. Tangrowth will then gather Squrtile, Blubasaur, and Charamander to talk about the problem. Now, the team will decide you need more water, and for that, you need a Slowpoke. You should have already opened up the south coast of Withered Wasteland for Tangrowth, so head back there and place four patches of grass beside the sea to create a habitat for Slowpoke, then wait for him to appear. Talk to him, then get ready to do a bit of work. You will need to make some steps and place them so he can climb up any blocks in his way if he is to make it over to Tangrowth. You will also need to water the ground along the path using Water Gun, as that will help him move faster. Once you are back with the Professor, you will discover that you need to help increase the humidity in the area to help Slowpoke. You can read a full guide on how to do that here.
