Unlocking mounts in Farever isn’t a very tricky task if you’re not too particular. All mounts allow you to travel more quickly between different points, and you’ll get the first one as part of a quest.
However, there are some really unique ones you can unlock, and I will explain all the ways for you to get a travel buddy.
How to obtain a mount in Farever
The easiest way to obtain a mount is to just buy it with Gold. You can do so using the in-game shop. The prices of mounts vary based on what you want to buy. Personally, the current prices are a bit steep, but you can farm Gold from different activities.
You can also get the Sparkling Horsean for free in the current build of the game. This might change later, but it’s a nice way to begin your collection.
If you’re looking for a Wolf mount, head to the marked spot on the image above. There, you’ll find a vendor named Perina Wann. The vendor will offer three different Wolf mounts, and each costs 1000 Gold in the current build. All variants are essentially the same, but they differ in their appearances.
You can also obtain three different variants of Raccoon mounts from the same vendor. They’re priced at 500 apiece and function in the same manner as any other mount.
Based on the community, you can also find certain mounts in the wild. However, I have yet to discover a mount via this method. I will duly add the process and location once I manage to find one myself.
Once you’ve obtained a mount, you’ll need to go to your Collection menu. From there, you’ll have to equip the mount you want to ride. Press the Shift button on your keyboard, and it will appear. If you want to change your mount, go back to Collection and select a different one.
