Get geared up, Super style!
Part of the week one quests for this Super season of Fortnite requires you to find and pick up two different pieces of Supernova Gear in a single match. But what exactly does this mean? And where can you find the Supernova Gear in Fortnite?

Where to find Supernova Gear in Fortnite
Supernova Gear currently consists of four different items, with more coming later in the season. The superhero items and weapons include:
- Killswitch Revolvers
- Myst Gauntlets
- Bass Boost Gloves
- Tracking Visor
This gear is found in chests and as floor loot, or purchased from NPCs around the island, but is most easily obtained from Academy Stands and Hero Caches.
Academy Stands and Hero Caches are scattered across the map; however, the best place to land to be guaranteed to find more than one item of Supernova Gear is to land at the Supernova Academy. Here, you will find caches unlocked at various Hero Ranks and Academy Stands dotted around every building. In the basement below where Superman is located, you will find locked Academy Tech Labs containing a few Supernova Gear items. These rooms are only accessible when you increase your Hero Rank. You can also complete the Hero Training to access four rare chests that may contain some high-quality gear.
The NPCs who hold Superhero Gear are:
- Morgan Myst at the Supernova Academy
- Myst Gauntlets
- Killswitch at Foxy Floodgate
- Tracking Visor
- Synthwave at the coast west of the Resistance Base
- Bass Boost gloves
How to use Supernova Gear in Fortnite
Each piece of Supernova Gear gives you a different ability. Although they don’t deal the highest damage, they can be handy and quite enjoyable to use! If you want to deal the most damage, we suggest you go for the Killswitch Revolvers or the Myst Gauntlets.
- The Killswitch Revolvers are high-damage pistols that grant the ability to slow you down as you aim and jump. You can also use it to dodge enemy fire.
- Myst Gauntlets are best used at close range and send out a flock of damage-dealing birds in a continuous wave.
- Bass Boost gloves are excellent for bringing down structures, potentially causing fall damage. These also allow you to boost jump.
- The Tracking Visor can periodically send out a pulse to track enemy players and monitor their footsteps. Watch out for yellow footprints to show an enemy has been around recently, or green to show they are nearby.
