How to get Dark Rings in Sailor Piece
To get Dark Rings in Sailor Piece, you’ll have to venture to Sailor Island and defeat the Solo Hunter boss. In other words, we want to put the smackdown on Solo Hunter’s main protagonist, Jinwoo. Annoyingly though, Jinwoo doesn’t pop in to get an ass-whooping as often as most bosses, as his spawn rate is particularly unique.

When you arrive at Sailor Island, approach the temple in the centre of the map’s courtyard. One of four things will be happening inside this temple. Either you’ll see a timer counting down to the spawn of the Vampire King Boss, a timer counting down to the spawn of the Solo Hunter boss, or you’ll see one of the two bosses standing in the centre of the temple.
To get Dark Rings, we’ll have to wait for the Solo Hunter boss to spawn, then defeat him. Every time we do, there’s a 7% chance of getting a Dark Ring. That means, annoyingly, we’re gonna have to chug through him a few times, especially as we want a good few of these rings. Solo Hunter takes around 6 minutes to spawn.

The timer will begin once the Vampire King has been defeated, so if you’re able, knock the Vampire King out of the way as quickly as possible so you can chain through fights with Solo Hunter. Also consider trying to boost your luck using new Titles, Races, and Clans, or rerolling at Sailor Island’s Stat Reroll NPC. That way, the rings will hit your inventory much faster.
Once you bring him down enough times to get five Dark Rings, we’ll be ready to use them and take the next step on our journey to ultimate power. This is really starting to sound quite Sauron-y now I write it out…

Solo Hunter is one of Sailor Piece’s lower-level bosses, but that still means you’ll need to be careful if you’re level 5,000 or below. He largely has one pattern that he’ll repeat frequently, which sees him launch a flurry of weak strikes in quick succession, before lifting his blades and unleashing a more powerful finisher attack. If you’re a high enough level, you’ll be able to tank all of his punishment, but if he still poses a threat, be sure to dash away when you see him raise his blade after his initial sequence concludes. If he’s starting to really lay in the damage, a good tip is to hop up onto the top of the temple and wait for your health to regen, then drop down and continue the fight.
How to use Dark Rings
Dark Rings are used to reach the Ascend II rank at the Ascension merchant in Sailor Island. When entering the courtyard from the beach, look directly to your left, and you’ll spot him. After completing Ascend I, the Ascension merchant will ask for five Dark Rings alongside a few other objectives, including clearing the Shadow Dungeon ten times and finding Dismantle Fangs.

That means you’ll probably be sitting around this temple grinding for a while, but hey, maybe now’s the time to achieve inner peace and enlightenment? Or you could just whoop Gojo’s butt for six minutes to get his fighting style over on Shinjuku Island. That’s an option too…
Now you’ve got the Dark Rings, it’s time to reach Ascend II and take another step towards becoming the ultimate aura farmer.
