How to get Hardwood in Palworld
In Palworld, you can find hardwood in Twilight Sands and Sakurijima by dopping down specific trees or it can be dropped by specific Pals and bought from a Wandering Merchant.
Twilight Sands
You can get Hardwood by chopping down the spikey trees found in the Twilight Dunes. You won’t always get hardwood; you can sometimes get other materials too. Be warned though, you need to protect yourself from heat if you’re entering the Twilight Dunes during the day. If you venture here at night, you will be fine, but you need to be fast.
Sakurijima
In Sakurijima, you can get hardwood by chopping down Sakura trees. These are the trees with pink leaves. While you don’t need to protect yourself from heat like you do in Twilight Dunes, you still need to be careful while roaming around Sakurajima. This area is home to multiple high-level Pals — so if you’re just there to farm and not there to fight, make sure you’re being as sneaky as possible.
Note: We’ve had better luck getting Hardwood reliably from the Sakura trees here.
Specific Pals
Some Pals can also drop Hardwood upon defeat, though this is a less reliable way of obtaining this specific material. Here are all the Pals that have the chance to drop Hardwood:
- Mossanda
- Wumpo Botan
- Palumba
