Kingambit, the final evolution of Pawniard, was introduced as part of Gen 9 and has now made its way into Pokémon Go.

With a design reminiscent of a shogun, Kingambit evolves from Bisharp and retains its Dark / Steel-typing. Though completing this evolution in Pokémon Go does require you to meet a special requirement.

How to get Kingambit in Pokémon Go

To get Kingambit in Pokémon Go, you need 100 Pawniard Candy and to defeat 15 Dark or Steel-type Pokémon in raids while a Bisharp is your buddy Pokémon. Thankfully, you do not need to use Bisharp to defeat these Pokémon.

While you may already have the required Pawniard Candy from constantly hatching the Pokémon from 12km eggs like I have, that special evolution requirement is a little tricker to fulfill. Unless you’re up for spending an awful lot of Premium Raid Passes, it’s going to take at least 15 days to evolve Bisharp into a Kingambit. That’s if there’s a Dark or Steel-type Pokémon in a raid of course. If there’s not then it could take you even longer.

Our advice is keep an eye on the lineup for both Shadow Raids, where Dark-types more regularly appear, and regular raids. It’s also a good idea to primarily target one-star raids as those are the ones you’ll be able to target solo.

Best of luck adding Kingambit to your Pokédex!
