If you’ve spent more than a few hours on Schedule 1, you’ve probably enjoyed mixing ingredients and watching the effects of your product on your clientele.
They might run around crazily, turn green, and sometimes even explode depending on the effect of your product.
That said, you’ve also probably hit that wall, the one where your shady empire needs a new, stronger product to grow and be a stepping stone to dominate other districts.
That’s where Pseudo comes in and where you’ll start cooking meth. This ingredient unlocks the next level of your production, but getting it isn’t as simple as pressing a button. You’ll need to build connections, earn some cash, and level up your reputation.
What Is Pseudo And How To Get It
Complete the Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy Quest
Pseudo is an ingredient used to create meth. In order to get your hands on this stuff, you’ll need to reach at least Hoodlum V and unlock the Warehouse.
You do this by completing the Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy quest, where you’ll meet Manny the fixer, Stan the arms dealer, and Oscar the merchant.
Oscar is the one who will sell you the equipments and some of the ingredients needed to create meth.
Build Reputation and Connect with Shirley Watts
After unlocking the warehouse, you’ll need to build a friendly reputation with either Jerry Montero or Meg Cooley, and they will introduce you to Shirley Watts, a supplier who carries Pseudo. You can then buy Pseudo via your smartphone.
Purchase a Chemistry Station and Lab Oven from Oscar
After acquiring Pseudo from Shirley Watts, you’ll need to buy a Chemistry Station ($1000) and Lab Oven ($1000) for your equipment, as well as Acid ($40) and Phosporous ($40) as the other ingredients required for creating meth.
I found it easier to set up the meth lab inside the Motel since Oscar’s table is inside the warehouse and Shirley’s payment drop is on the west wall of the warehouse.
Why Is Pseudo Important
Getting Pseudo leads to creating meth, which opens up a world of possibilities for your drug empire, but the real game-changer is unlocking access to Westville.
It’s a more upscale part of the city with a wealthier clientele. Meth is a highly profitable product, easily earning you $100 for the lowest grade meth and sells like hotcakes.
Once you’ve unlocked it, shift gears by hiring botanists and packagers to automate your weed operation. This frees you up to focus on securing properties in Westville, where eventually you can move your meth production and streamline deliveries to your high-paying customers.
How To Create Meth Using Pseudo
Combine Ingredients
Once you’ve set up your own lab, it’s time to create meth. Meth starts off as liquid which hardens so you can break it off in pieces and deliver to your customers.
Start cooking meth by heading to the Chemistry Station and combining these ingredients:
- Acid x1
- Phosphorous x1
- Pseudo x1.
Cook Meth
After combining the ingredients, you’ll need to «cook» meth in its liquid form. Pour the mixture inside the flask and start the burner.
You’ll need to adjust the burner in order to match the green marker in the middle. Afterward, a timer will turn on, and you’ll need to wait 8 hours (in-game time) or 480 seconds for the cooking step to be completed.
Bake the Liquid Meth
Once the cooking process is finished, take the Liquid Meth to the Lab Oven and start the baking process.
It will take 6 hours (in-game time) or 360 seconds. Once done, use the hammer to break off the hardened meth and ta-da! You’ve just created Meth in Schedule 1.
