Want to know how to find the Blue Prince orchard code? Trot down the private drive to the east of the manor and you’ll reach the campsite then the orchard. However, the latter is blocked off by a gate securely held shut by a padlock. To open it and explore among the apple trees within you’re going to need a code.
As with all the other safe codes and passwords in Blue Prince, you’ll need to know where to look and have the right tool for the job. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to get the Blue Prince orchard code. We also have the Office safe code and Boudoir safe code if you’re after those.
Where to find the Blue Prince orchard code
To find the orchard code, you’re first going to need a magnifying glass. It tends to spawn at lower ranks in rooms like the Den, Guest Bedroom, Walk-In Closet, and Bedroom Closet. There’s an element of RNG to it spawning, but it typically pops up every second run or so. It’s also worth checking if it’s on sale in the Commissary.
Once you have the magnifying glass, you’ll need to draft a Dark Room and a Utility Closet. Enter the Dark Room and the lights will switch off. Head to the Utility Closet, open the breaker cabinet and toggle the switch marked Dark Room to turn the lights back on. Note that you can’t do this is the reverse order because the Dark Room will switch off regardless the first time you enter.
✓ Another option
If you’ve unlocked the West Gate Path and have access to the Outer Room, select the Shelter first thing in the morning. This will cancel out the Dark Room’s effect and keep the lights on without having to draft the Utility Closet and toggle the breaker.
Return to the Dark Room, then pick up one of the pictures of the orchard. There are several copies in the room, but they are all the same. Hover the magnifying glass over the trunk of the tree on the left. You’ll see a date carved into the wood – 11-28. This is the orchard code – 1128.
Head over to the orchard and key the code into the padlock. Doing so will unlock the Apple Orchard permanent upgrade, which grants 20 extra steps every day on top of the default 50 steps. If you go into the shed at the back, you’ll find the Gardener’s Logbook, which offers some valuable details about how Green Rooms operate within the manor, including soil quality. Lastly, in the orchard itself, you’ll find a gas valve you can turn to help with another puzzle that involves blue flames.
