How To Open The Paint Cages In Flying Manor - Clair Obscur Expedition 33

There are a lot of hidden rewards and items all around the world of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Players can collect them all by exploring every nook and cranny, and ensuring there’s no route missed during exploration. Among where there are good rewards are inside some Paint Cages. Players should first come across this mechanic while exploring the Flying Waters area in Expedition 33, and they’ll also find that it’s a recurring mini-puzzle throughout the world.

Opening Paint Cages is no hard task, but it’s not easy either. Players must find some locks in the area and shoot them down until the Paint Cages open. Sometimes, these locks blend in with the environment, while at other times, they require players to shift their view to a different angle. In the case of Paint Cages in the Flying Manor in Expedition 33, opening them is quite easy, but finding one of them is not.

The primary purpose of the Flying Manor is to provide a resting place for one of the most important figures in the story of Expedition 33. To find out who it is, players must beat four bosses in the area, each waiting on one of the four available routes. Two of them are Eveque and Dualliste. Their area not only hosts a lot of monsters, but also the two Flying Manor Paint Cages.

Flying Manor Paint Cages #1 — Expedition 33

From the Plaza where the expedition flag is, find a floating arch and approach it. Once there, players can walk on a painting frame to reach a hidden area. Jump down to the corner to find the first Paint Cages.

Unlike most Paint Cages in Expedition 33, this one only has two locks, one on the Eveque statue, while the other is under the stairs, near a Bourgeon Nevron.

Flying Manor Paint Cages #2 — Expedition 33

To reach the Dualliste area, find some hidden ledges on a rock to go up. Once up, players should see Dualliste nearby. Head to the slightly-hidden road next to it and grapple to the other side.

When players enter this area, the first Paint Cage lock should be on their right. Next, look up and shoot the lock on a statue, then one more time on a floating painting, right above the Paint Cages.
