How to quickly farm XP in Marvel Rivals

Practice makes perfect.

Like most video games, Marvel Rivals runs on a level progression system that lets beginners unlock new features as they learn the mechanics. While you may find it painfully tedious to farm experience points (XP) and level up in Marvel Rivals at times, don’t worry—our guide will surely help.

Whether you’re an entirely new player or are just looking to level up an alternate ID, you’ll be eligible for the Marvel Rivals Competitive mode only when it’s Level 15. The gifting feature is also locked under Level 10.

Other than playing as much as you can and for the win, here are the fastest ways to gain XP and level up in Marvel Rivals.

How to quickly farm XP in Marvel Rivals

Play the Conquest mode

Don’t sleep on the Conquest mode, especially when you’re trying to level up fast in Marvel Rivals.

Winning a Conquest game offers you almost the same amount of XP as a Quick Match. Now, here’s the difference: a Quick Match game can run for over five minutes, while a Conquest game usually ends in around two to three minutes. So, you can complete two Conquest games by the time you complete a Quick Match, thus letting you potentially farm double the amount of XP in half the time.

Play for MVP

While winning is the main goal, try to score as many MVP titles as you can in the matches you play. As the most valuable player of your team, you can potentially earn a lot of bonus XP that counts toward your account level.

I’ve also noticed that the game seems to offer bonus XP if you manage to bag the MVP with support heroes like Cloak & Dagger and Mantis. But it’s pretty difficult to MVP with Strategists, so I’d suggest sticking to Duelists or damage-heavy Vanguards like Emma and Peni.

Play the Practice vs. AI mode

If you queue for matches in Practice vs. AI, no matter what difficulty, you’ll earn the same amount of XP you would earn in Quick Match. With the exception of the daily or weekly missions that explicitly say you must play Quick Match, you can earn mission progress during AI practice matches as well.

It’s also easier to win against AI than real enemies, so you can assure a lot of winning XP out of these matches.

If you’re a beginner in Marvel Rivals, however, make sure you’re not too focused on XP farming instead of learning the game and hero mechanics. Leveling up fast will let you unlock Competitive faster, but if you aren’t learning the basics and counters, you’ll still struggle in your ranked games.
