How bad is it?
It is only normal for people to ask about how it is to live in a place, and normally, one would expect favorable reviews with just a couple of complaints. Unfortunately, those in Bonner County, Idaho, don’t think like that. According to those in this place and across the state, Bonner County could be one of the worst places to live in, unless you’re from one specific political group, at least according to Idaho locals.
Not long ago, one Reddit user posted on the Idaho subreddit a thread with the question, “How’s life in Bonner?” Quickly, several Redditors replied with not-so-great reviews.
According to those who commented, it seems that only a select few truly have a good life in Bonner County. Some Redditors claimed that if you have a high income and work from home, it could be an ideal place to live. Yet, things aren’t too great for those in the working class who have to go outside of their home daily.
Many Idahoans backed the above comment, claiming that living in this County is way too expensive and that wages are on the low side. Beyond that, some even believe that there is a hard-right political culture there, which many claim is another reason why living in this area could be challenging for some people.

Throughout the comments, many of those in Bonner County shared that the two main things that make living there difficult are the prices and the people who reside there.
“Well, if you are straight, white, male, MAGA, and a retired cop, you are going to just love it there!“
“In short, some of the best nature that the nation has to offer. Cannot understate that one bit. But it’s extremely MAGA and has a lot more racists than some other places in Idaho.“
Others even gave some more insight about what daily life there is like.
“Hey, I live here! I’m on the poverty side, but I quite like it here. The rich side looks nice; they pay us poorly to build their mansions, mow their lawns, and serve them. Not much in between.“
In the end, it seems OP got several negative reviews, and by the looks of it, the majority of people think they will be better elsewhere. Still, it is one’s choice whether to move to this place or not.
