Indiana Jones and the Great Circle brought a brand-new Indy adventure to life, and the promise of more waits on the horizon. The game’s first DLC, The Order of Giants, is giving Indiana Jones and the Great Circle fans a fresh chapter to dive into, and its title is a compelling tease of what to expect.
The Nephilim Order was one of the most important factions introduced in The Great Circle, as Locus, a hulking man who was a member of the group, grew to be one of Indy’s greatest allies in the story. The Nephilim Order is made up of the supposed descendants of fallen angels, which is how its members got their large stature. With The Great Circle‘s DLC being named The Order of Giants, it only makes sense for the Nephilim Order to play a large role in the story, especially Locus.

When players first come face to face with Locus, his enormous size and mysterious nature makes him seem more like a villain than an ally, but that is eventually proven untrue. Locus, and the rest of the Nephilim Order, work to protect the Great Circle, ensuring that its power isn’t put in the hands of men. The Order of Giants can dive even deeper into this secretive group, which could be a great stage for the expansion to showcase more of Locus as a character.
Portrayed by the late, great Tony Todd, Locus was a compelling character in the base game, and getting to learn more about the faction he belongs to is a thrilling promise. Because of Todd’s untimely passing, though, it’s unclear if he was able to record parts for The Order of Giants, and utilizing AI to recreate his voice likeness would be disrespectful. Even if Locus doesn’t return in The Order of Giants, getting a more expansive look into the organization is teasing a treasure trove of thrilling Indiana Jones content.

With the film franchise seemingly coming to an end after Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, developer MachineGames nailing the series’ tone and Troy Baker’s performance as Indy have proven that video games are a great way for the character to continue his adventures.
There is still plenty of fascinating Indiana Jones lore to explore, and after The Order of Giants, it will be exciting to see if the expansion helps pave the way for more chapters to be made. The wait for The Order of Giants is almost over, and when it finally arrives, it will be thrilling to see if Locus, or one of his allies in the Nephilim Order, plays a major role.
