What’s different from PoE1?
Path of Exile 2 is cleaner, less bloated, and more focused than the original. You won’t be buried under ten years of league mechanics right out of the gate. But it’s still very much a Path of Exile game. That means you’ll need to do some reading, think a bit about your build, and deal with some tricky combat.
Can you play PoE2 casually?
Yes. If you only have a few hours a week, here’s the good news:

If you’re okay learning things slowly, dying here and there, and enjoying the journey instead of racing to the top, you’ll likely have a good time. If you want something faster and simpler, it might be better to wait until launch or explore something like Last Epoch or Diablo 4 first.
