Streaming superstar IShowSpeed is getting his very own anime series written by the mind behind Netflix’s live-action One Piece adaptation.

IShowSpeed is a massive fan of One Piece, so it only makes sense that the series’ live-action showrunner, Matt Owens, would help bring an anime starring the YouTuber to life.

As reported by Variety, Owens is producing the anime series alongside actor and filmmaker Harmony Korine, as well as former Paramount boss Brian Robbins. Robbins’ newly-formed animation studio, Big Shot Pictures, will handle production.

Thus far, not much is known about the plot for Speed’s animated adventure. Variety states that the YouTuber will have his own animated character in the show, and fans can expect a package to be released “soon.”

“I’ve always loved anime, so being able to create something like this is a dream come true for me,” IShowSpeed said of the project. “The team behind this project is incredibly talented, and I can’t wait for my fans around the world to see what we’re building together.”

“Speed is a one-of-a-kind creative force whose ability to connect with audiences transcends borders and platforms,” Robbins added. “As a performer, he’s built a truly global fanbase, and we’re excited to help bring his voice and vision to life in a completely new way through this series.”

Given Speed’s bombastic performances in the WWE, it stands to reason that the YouTuber would get his own series someday. And given his love of anime, this type of project fits him like a glove. (We can’t say if Ronaldo will be involved, though.)
