Released in 2020, Netflix’s Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich chronicles the s*x-trafficking operation run by disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, centering the voices of survivors who alleged they were groomed, abused, and exploited for years.
One of the victims featured in the documentary is Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who remained outspoken about her experiences until her death in April 2025. In the series, Giuffre alleged that Epstein and his longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell recruited her as a teenager under the guise of providing massages at Epstein’s properties.
According to Giuffre, those encounters escalated into s*xual abuse, with Maxwell allegedly playing a central role in facilitating the exploitation. Giuffre also claimed in the documentary that Epstein trafficked her to powerful men.
Among the individuals she named were Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, and American attorney Alan Dershowitz, with claims that she was trafficked to them several times. Both Prince Andrew and Alan Dershowitz have denied the accusations.
Prince Andrew and Alan Dershowitz Denied Virginia Giuffre’s Allegations
Following allegations made by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, both Prince Andrew and American lawyer Alan Dershowitz have repeatedly denied claims of s*xual abuse.
Prince Andrew, whose association with Epstein placed him under intense public scrutiny, has consistently denied Giuffre’s allegations, stating he never met her. “It didn’t happen,” he said during a 2019 BBC Newsnight interview. “I have no recollection of ever meeting this lady, none whatsoever.”

He also claimed he had no memory of the infamous photograph showing him with Giuffre and Ghislaine Maxwell. Giuffre later filed a civil lawsuit against Prince Andrew, alleging she was forced to have s*xual encounters with him in the early 2000s.
In 2022, Prince Andrew reached an out-of-court settlement with Giuffre (BBC). Alan Dershowitz has also denied Giuffre’s accusations, which alleged Epstein trafficked her to him multiple times.
Dershowitz called the claims false and filed a defamation lawsuit against Giuffre. “I’m a victim of false accusation,” he told Vox in an interview, “and I’m going to continue to speak out until the day I die.”
In 2022, both parties dropped their lawsuits. Giuffre acknowledged she may have been mistaken in identifying Dershowitz as one of her abusers (NBC News), while Dershowitz reiterated that he never had s*xual contact with her.
What We Know About Virginia Roberts Giuffre’s Death
Virginia Roberts Giuffre, one of the most prominent accusers of Jeffrey Epstein, died by suicide in April 2025 at the age of 41 (BBC). Giuffre was widely known for speaking publicly about the s*xual abuse and trafficking she said she suffered as a teenager at the hands of Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell.

Western Australia Police confirmed they were called to a home in the Neergabby area, where Giuffre was found unresponsive. Authorities said at the time of her death, the case is being investigated by major crime detectives, though early indications suggest it is not suspicious.
In their statement, her family described her as a “fierce warrior” who spent years advocating for survivors of s*xual abuse. They said, “She lost her life to suicide after being a lifelong victim of se*xual abuse and s*x trafficking.”
Born in the United States, Giuffre had been living in Australia with her children. In the weeks before her death, she shared social media posts referencing injuries sustained in a car accident.
While some family members expressed concerns surrounding her passing, her Australia-based attorney, Karrie Louden, stated she did not believe the death was suspicious.
