Your Friends & Neighbors Star Praises Show's Class Commentary
As Jon Hamm’s character struggles to maintain his lavish lifestyle in Your Friends & Neighbors, the new Apple TV+ series is able to present viewers with an interesting commentary on the upper class and the things that many are willing to do to keep up appearances. In a recent interview with CBR, Olivia Munn discussed her character on the show and how the story mirrors reality. «I love that my character is someone who will scheme and plot and do really anything she needs to to keep her place in this social society,» Munn shared.
«I just think it’s really fascinating to have to to care about something so superficial and in the long term, very silly,» she continued. «Like, go find another world to live in. But for some reason, these people, and a lot of people in these 1% kind of neighborhoods, it’s just so incestuous. They just have to stay in these groups. And it’s their entire world.»
Your Friends & Neighbors is now streaming on Apple TV+.
