It’s Lego Pokemon season, apparently, as tons of new sets have been leaked, including the latest, a Red Minifigure and an adorable Pokeball that actually opens up. But fans aren’t loving one of the designs.
Following Lego’s official collaboration with Pokemon, we’ve seen tons of new sets arriving, whether it’s the original starters, a leaked Rayquaza – who’s final design we now know – and some rather cursed Smart Brick Pikachu tree and a Jigglypuff set.
Well, there are about to be two more sets coming, according to reliable leakers, but fans aren’t thrilled with the new Red Minifigure design.
Pokemon fans slam upcoming Lego Minifigure set
As originally revealed by leaker Lite and showcased by Brick Tap on X, two new Lego sets have been leaked: An “Iconic Trainer Moments Poke Ball” and an “Up-Scaled Red Minifigure.”
The Poke Ball’s final design has been revealed, containing a large Poke Ball sitting on some grass. You can open it too, revealing Professor Oak and his Poke Ball selection, three minifigures, and a small Pikachu and Eevie playing in the grass. It’ll be $300, has 2,386 pieces, and is expected to be released on October 1, 2026.

Then there’s the Up-scaled Red Minifigure, which resembles the minifigure in the Poke Ball set, only a lot larger. This design will cost $79.99 and contain 930 pieces, but fans aren’t pleased with it, labelling it “trash” and commenting that “this set actually sucks.”
Others echoed the same sentiment: “This isn’t made for pokemon fans who like Lego; it’s made for Lego fans who like Lego,” while another wrote: “The amount of displayslop they’re doing with this theme is actually pathetic.”

Despite the hate for the minifigure design, fans seem to like the “awesome” Poke Ball set, calling it the “first good Pokemon Lego set.”
Currently, both sets have been leaked and not officially revealed by Lego, though we do have pictures of the boxes, so they’re unlikely to change in design, only price or release date.
