Lego has revealed a brand-new E.T. set, giving fans of Spielberg’s sci-fi classic the chance to do their best “phone home” impressions.
From Star Wars’ massive 1544-piece Boba Fett model to the recently leaked Dragon Ball Z Shenron set, 2026 has been a big year for exciting new brick builds.
However, there has been one beloved character that Lego has yet to bring home, but that now changes with the arrival of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. And yes, he even has his pet plant pot.
Lego E.T. is coming home
As revealed on the official Lego Store, the E.T. set is made up of 1,226 pieces and stands over 24cm (9.5 inches) tall, 21cm (8.5 inches) wide, and 15cm (6 inches) deep. He’s a pretty chunky alien, but you’ll be able to easily hide him away in a closet just in case the men in black come knocking on your door.
E.T. also comes packed with a full 360-degree head rotation that allows you to pose him freely, while his arms, wrists, fingers, and mouth can also be adjusted to recreate poses from the film.

The set is rounded off with E.T’s plant pot companion, which comes with signature sunflowers and can be placed in his hand. However, the star of the show is E.T.’s light-up heart, which glows when you flick the switch on his back (cute, or horrifying, I’ll let you be the judge).
E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Lego set costs $139.99, and pre-orders are currently live, with the alien shipping on August 1, 2026. So, you won’t need to wait too much longer before you can give him a forever home.
