Lies of P: Overture is full of nightmares and suffering, but amidst all the dark chaos, there is a small hopeful light in Rosaura. A seemingly benign little doll you encounter early in the DLC, her brightness provides comfort each time you encounter her throughout your journey in the past.
Finding Rosaura in each chapter should be any player’s priority, even if her rewards are seemingly inconsequential to your average combatant. For collectors of achievements and for those whose hearts have been stolen by this little sweetheart, Rosaura’s tale is the kind of quest you’d feel guilty about never completing.
How To Start Rosaura's Questline
Rosaura can be found at the beginning of the Carnival area. As you turn on the Stargazer, she will speak to you from afar.
Talk to her as she sits nearby on the stack of suitcases and crates.
She’ll tell you about her lost shoes. Exhausting her dialogue is not necessary, but it may give you some clues about later in her questline.
Tell her you will find her shoes. Once she’s happy, you can begin your search in the Carnival area.
Where To Find Rosaura's Missing Shoes
Rosaura’s shoes are deep in the Carnival area and on the carousel. But reaching the carousel isn’t enough. You cannot enter the carousel from the ground level.
Instead, you’re going to have to look for the Ferris Wheel.
Wait for one of the open carriages and step on. Then, ride up to the top where you can roll out onto a platform.
There are some pinwheel clowns on this walkway that are hiding over the ledge. They will ambush you when you walk far enough down the path.
Up here, you will be able to pick up the Zoo Tram Station Key. Do so, but then:
- Drop onto the top of the carousel roof.
- There is a hole in that roof on the left. Drop down.
- On the far side of the carousel, you will find a red chest. Open it, and the Rose Shoes will be inside.
- Take those shoes back to Rosaura and give them to her.
Beware of the shot put puppets here. There are two on either side. Defeat them before you try picking up any items.
Giving Rosaura the shoes will reward you with:
- Increased Humanity
- The Lisrim vinyl
- And Rosaura’s Treasure: Piece of a Drawing
She’ll leave for her next destination once you rest at a Stargazer.
How To Save Rosaura In The Ancient Ruins Excavation Site Mine
The second time you find Rosaura, she will be deep in the mines next to the Closed Mine Tunnel Stargazer.
Speak to her, and you’ll discover that she is losing power and is unable to continue. To restore Rosaura, you will be asked to give her an Ergo Crystal. We had these options:
- Vivid Ergo Chunk
- Radiant Ergo Chunk
- Ergo Crystal of the Eternal
We gave her our strongest ergo, the Crystal of the Eternal, and she rewarded us with:
- Increased Humanity
- The Heart gesture
- Rosaura’s Treasure: Ruins Secret Gathering Invitation
- Rosaura’s Treasure: Second Piece of a Drawing
After she’s been refreshed with Ergo, Rosaura will move on to her third location once you rest.
There is a special interaction you can experience if you use the Heart gesture in front of Rosaura.
Where To Find Rosaura At The Lighthouse
Rosaura can be found a third time up on the lighthouse. Reaching her is not immediately obvious, however.
To get to Rosaura’s location, you have to climb to the very top of the lighthouse. After a short cutscene plays, you can drop off one side of the lighthouse by an opening in the rails.
Dropping down onto the platform below, use the ladder nearby to find Rosaura at the bottom.
This will be the last time you speak inside the DLC. Exhaust her dialogue to be granted the ing important treasures:
- Rosaura’s Treasure: Photo of the Tree of Friendship
- Rosaura’s Treasure: Third Piece of a Drawing
For now, there’s nothing you can do. Rosaura will not move again until you defeat the final boss of the DLC.
Meeting Rosaura One Last Time: Where Is The Tree Of Friendship?
To finish Rosaura’s questline, return to the present timeline outside of the DLC. Once you reappear, you’ll be told your actions have had an effect on the story.
ing the prompt in your Stargazer menu, you can travel to Rosaura’s location from two Stargazers:
- Krat City Hall: Use the shortcut to City Hall and take a left past the two armed guard puppets. Turn Left.
- City Hall Courtyard: Travel back through City Hall past the two armed guard puppets. Turn right.
Rosaura will be sitting next to the tree on the left if you have completed all the steps above before defeating the final boss.
Talk to Rosaura, and she will give you a sweet farewell with the final piece of the drawing. Together, they will automatically form the Drawing of a Family.
