Can You Use Magic in RuneScape: Dragonwilds?

Yes, you can. But it’s not the full Magic experience just yet.

  • You can craft a staff early on after finishing the intro.

  • Runes like Fire and Air are used as ammo for the staff.

  • Some spells do exist, like Tempest Shield, Bones to Peaches, and Magical Mending.

  • These come from other skill trees like Attack, Artisan, or Runecrafting.

What’s missing?
The Magic skill tree. It’s marked as “Coming Soon” in the skill menu. That means no XP gain from casting spells or using staffs—for now.

Can You Use Ranged in RuneScape: Dragonwilds?

Yup. Ranged weapons are in the game and usable from pretty early on.

  • You can craft bows and arrows at the Crafting Table.

  • Arrow types include Stone Arrows and Fang Arrows.

  • Great for attacking from a safe distance when you don’t feel like getting stomped.

What’s missing?
Just like with Magic, there’s no Ranged skill tree yet. So no XP, no leveling, and no Ranged-specific unlocks right now.

Final Blurb

Magic and Ranged are in the game, but they’re just not fully baked yet (they are coming at some point). You can use them for combat, but they’re missing their proper XP systems and skill trees. If you’re here to play a classic archer or wizard build, you’ll have to wait a bit longer. For now, think of them as sneak previews with decent range and no long-term commitment. Kind of like speed dating with goblins.
