A man claims he was fired from his job for smelling “musty” and has gone viral on TikTok as he searches for a new one.
While a lot of jobs have become remote or even hybrid, there are plenty of workers who have to commute to an office on a daily basis. Unless they work alone, they’re also required to adhere by a number of rules too, especially with regard to hygiene.
Even though some jobs will let workers dress down a little bit, some still require suits and more formal attire, and if you smell bad, you might end up ridiculed by your co-workers, and possibly asked to spend the rest of the day at home.
However, in the case of TikToker justchiillin, he claimed that he was fired from his job for smelling “musty.”
TikToker claims he was fired for smelling at work
His claims have gone viral on TikTok, with one video having over 1 million views. “I work so hard that I’m musty at work and now you want to fire me? B*tch, how you fire me because I’m musty?” he said, being led out of a building with two security guards behind him.
“How you mad because I work my ass off? Imma take my work ethic somewhere else, and y’all gonna appreciate me at some point.”
The TikToker also said that it was “deeper than must,” as plenty of viewers joked that they “smell a lawsuit” coming his way.
He has made a handful of videos while working before, talking to both other staff members and customers, so it’s clearly not a prank.
As noted, justchiillin has continued making videos about the situation, telling viewers to comment with any job links that they see.
