Marvel Mystic Mayhem is a new team-based tactical RPG that challenges players to assemble a formidable roster of iconic Marvel Super Heroes and Super Villains to battle against the forces of Nightmare. As a gacha game, acquiring new characters often involves an element of luck, but a smart rerolling strategy at the start can significantly boost your early game advantage, allowing you to kick off your adventure with a powerful team.
This guide will walk you through the rerolling process in Marvel Mystic Mayhem and highlight the top characters to aim for.
Marvel Mystic Mayhem: How To Reroll
Rerolling in Marvel Mystic Mayhem is not as quick as some other gacha games, but it’s a worthwhile investment for optimal early progression.
Before You Begin Rerolling:
-
Use a Guest Account: Always start the game using a Guest Account. Do NOT link your account to Google, Apple, or any other service until you are completely satisfied with your initial hero pulls. This allows you to easily reset your progress without impacting your primary accounts.
Rerolling Steps:
Play Through the Tutorial and Early Story: You need to progress through the introductory tutorial and complete the initial main story quests (Dreamscape) until you reach Team Level 8 or 9. This is typically the point where the summoning banners become unlocked, and you will have accumulated enough initial currency (Dreamgems and Shadow Keys) for a few pulls.
-
For More Pulls: If you want even more chances at top-tier heroes, consider pushing your Team Level to 13. At this level, you’ll have a total of 18 Shadow Keys and 750 Dreamgems, providing a more substantial pool for summoning.
Perform Summons: Once you have your summoning currency, head to the summoning banners. You’ll typically find them by tapping on the Events tab on the left side of the screen (just under your name and level), then selecting the «Path of Legends» option and pressing «Go» to access the banners.
-
Use your Shadow Keys on the Legends Assemble (standard) banner.
-
Use your Dreamgems on the limited-time banner, which is currently «Forge the Future.»
Evaluate Your Pulls:
-
Satisfied? If you are happy with the heroes you’ve pulled, go to the game’s settings and bind your account to your email (or Google/Apple ID) to permanently save your progress.
-
Not Satisfied? If you didn’t get the heroes you wanted, follow these steps to reroll:
-
Exit the game and return to the Title Screen.
-
Tap the User icon (the head icon on the right side of the screen).
-
Go to the last tab (often labeled «Account» or «Settings») and choose «Start New Game» or «Delete Account» (if available). This action will delete your current Guest account’s data and restart the game from the beginning.
-
Repeat: Repeat the entire process from step 1 until you achieve a lineup of heroes that you are happy with.
Marvel Mystic Mayhem: Characters to Reroll For
Characters in Marvel Mystic Mayhem are ranked using a 3-star rarity system, where 3-star heroes are the strongest, and 2-star heroes make up the rest of the main roster. 1-star ratings are reserved for «Highlight cards,» which function as equipable gear or equipment for your heroes.
At the time of writing, there are two main summoning banners: Forge the Future (Limited-time) and Legends Assemble (Standard). The heroes you should prioritize depend on which banner you’re pulling from, as different currencies are used for each (Great Keys for limited-time banners, Shadow Keys for standard).
Forge the Future Banner (Limited-time — uses Dreamgems/Great Keys)
This banner typically features a specific powerful character with boosted rates.
-
Iron Man (Top Priority — Striker): Iron Man is considered one of the best Strikers (ranged damage dealers) in the game currently. He excels at dealing heavy AoE (Area of Effect) damage with skills like «Blaster Array» and «Iron Legion,» and his «Arc Reactor» passive allows for consistent burst damage. If you manage to pull Iron Man from this banner, it is highly recommended to stop rerolling and lock in that account. He can easily carry your team through much of the early and mid-game content.
-
Other Excellent Pulls: While Iron Man is the prime target, other strong 3-star heroes on this banner that are absolutely worth keeping include:
-
Doctor Strange (Controller): A top-tier support character with strong healing, buffs, and debuffs.
-
Emma Frost (Controller): Another powerful Controller with great healing, team buffs (like increased special damage), and debuff capabilities, making her highly versatile.
-
Scarlet Witch (Striker): Capable of dealing massive critical hit damage, especially with her ultimate «Reality Warp.»
-
Thor (Fighter): A formidable Fighter who excels at clearing waves of enemies with his chain lightning and powerful AoE Ultimate.
-
Legends Assemble Banner (Standard — uses Shadow Keys)
This is the general summon pool, accessible with Shadow Keys. While Iron Man might not be available here, many other meta-defining heroes are.
-
Doctor Strange (Controller): As mentioned above, a phenomenal support.
-
Emma Frost (Controller): Excellent utility, healing, and damage amplification.
-
Scarlet Witch (Striker): High critical damage output.
-
Thor (Fighter): Strong AoE damage and wave clear.
-
Lady Bullseye (Striker): An excellent single-target physical damage dealer with good cooldown reduction.
-
Armor (Defender): A top-tier tank with strong shields and taunts, crucial for protecting your damage dealers.
-
Juggernaut (Defender): Another strong Defender with high durability and crowd control.
Ideal Reroll Scenario:
For the absolute best possible start, aim to pull Iron Man from the limited-time «Forge the Future» banner, and ideally pair him with another top-tier 3-star hero like Thor, Scarlet Witch, Doctor Strange, or Emma Frost from either banner. Having a strong Striker like Iron Man combined with a good Controller or a durable Defender will set you up for significant success.
