Marvel Rivals Season 2 brings with it a host of changes, including the addition of White Queen Emma Frost. However, in a surprising move, Marvel Rivals has also seriously buffed the butts of its male characters, and while the patch notes skip over this fact, fans are absolutely noticing the extra cake.
As spotted by GamesRadar, Marvel Rivals’ entire male human cast’s butts have become more rounded and, according to some, there have been similar improvements at the front. It’s a surprising but refreshing move since, when it comes to superhero comics it’s female characters who tend to receive that kind of artistic attention. Nightwing and Captain America aside, that is.
We’ve headed back into Marvel Rivals, for science you understand, and we can confirm the butt buffs are real. And while Marvel / NetEase has yet to officially comment, we wonder if they might have taken inspiration from this mod? Released in February, FrellingHazmot’s “Butts and Bulges” gave Marvel Rivals’ male characters a similar boost.

The release of Season 2 has given Marvel Rivals a respectable boost, pushing its Steam player count above 300,000 (via SteamDB). That’s clearly due to the improved asses, and nothing to do with the new character, Krakoa map and new seasonal event. However, while no asses have been nerfed, some characters have had their other assets dialled back. Doctor Strange, for example, is now a fraction less formidable (via MarvelRivals.gg).
