Another new season of Marvel Rivals is upon us, and this one is straight up prehistoric.
Season eight of Rivals brings about the arrival of one of the game’s most ridiculous characters yet: Devil Dinosaur. Joining the existing roster with Rocket Raccoon and Jeff the Land Shark, this game is getting really wild with the character selection choices. Not to be outdone, X-Men member Cyclops is bringing his optic blasts to the battlefield, too.
“The Gilded Saint may have purged the Time Plague from Lower Manhattan, but the root of the rot remains,” the season’s details reveal. “Alchemax Headquarters stands defiant, shielded by a mysterious crimson Chronovium — fueled by a dimension of pure, kinetic force. The stakes have never been higher. Prepare yourselves – the Alchemax conspiracy goes deeper than we ever feared.”

New hero: Devil Dinosaur
Devil Dinosaur officially joins the game in season eight at launch as its 50th hero. Full details about the dino are incoming soon, but he is a Vanguard that comes with a team-up ability where The Punisher can ride on his back.
New hero: Cyclops
The season eight reveal showed X-Men leader Cyclops defending Lunella, AKA Moon-Girl, from Alchemax attackers before being apprehended. That awoke her best friend and companion, Devil Dinosaur, and now it’s about to get real Jurassic in New York.
Cyclops is the second hero joining the roster in season eight some time in June 2026, and is likely a Duelist.
