Sony revealed everything you can expect when the open beta rolls around later this July. I’ll break down all the content in the Marvel Tokon beta, including how you’ll be able to play it. Let’s begin.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls July 2026 Open Beta Schedule & Platforms
The Marvel Tokon open beta will be available starting on July 24. It will end on July 26. The official dates are as follows:
- Start: July 24, 12:00am PT / 8:00am BST / 4:00pm JST
- End: July 26, 11:59pm PT / July 27, 7:59am BST / 3:59pm JST
For this beta, PS5 and PC users (Steam and Epic Games Store) will be able to play. There’s no need to pre-register — once it goes live, you’ll be able to download it from your preferred platform’s storefront. That being said, you need a PlayStation account even if you plan on playing on PC.
During the beta, you’ll be able to play online and offline modes, which I’ll detail below.

Yes, pre-loads will be available two hours before it goes live, letting you play as soon as the servers are up.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls July 2026 Open Beta Modes
As mentioned, the Marvel Tokon open beta will basically let you play the full game, at least for a tiny bit. There will be online and offline modes, including a few chapters of the story mode.

In total, this is what you can expect:
- Casual and ranked matches
- Offline versus mode
- Tutorial and training mode
- Episode mode
The Episode mode gameplay will let you play three chapters of The Amazing Guardians storyline. Each team will have its own story in the full game.
Finally, in true ArcSys fashion, the game will have a lobby system featuring chibi versions of all Marvel Tokon characters. Good news for those that still enjoy that, I suppose.
