Insomniac has finally revealed everyone’s favourite clawed mutant in all his glory. With the new showcase at PlayStation’s State of Play, Insomniac has also unveiled Marvel’s Wolverine pre-orders, and if you’re looking to embody the famous anti-hero, here’s what you need to know about the pre-orders.
When Do Pre-Orders Begin for Marvel’s Wolverine?
Pre-orders for Marvel’s Wolverine will go live today, on June 2, 2026, at major online retailers after the game’s State of Play showcase. Certain retailers, like Amazon, have opened up product pages for the physical Standard Edition of the game. However, availability is being rolled out in waves. You can purchase the title physically or directly through the PlayStation Network.
Players can expect digital pre-orders to live on the PlayStation Store alongside the physical retail availability wave. This means fans should be able to wishlist and pre-load the game closer to Marvel’s Wolverine release in September. Insomniac had previously gone on record stating pre-orders were held back since they wanted to show players more of the game first.
Now, after the reveal of the brutal, blood-filled gameplay at State of Play, players can decide if they want to get their hands on the game themselves. The title is expected to feature multiple editions, including:
- Standard Edition ($69.99)
- Digital Deluxe Edition
- Collector’s Edition
The Collector’s Edition for Marvel’s Wolverine will potentially be a great pick for die-hard fans, with possible real-life collectibles and a steelbook case being attached to the edition. It is important to remember that Wolverine will be a PlayStation 5 exclusive, with no PC version planned since Sony changed its policies about exclusivity. So, pre-orders will be exclusive to the PlayStation 5.
