McDonald’s has issued a response after CEO Chris Kempczinski went viral for a promotional taste test of the chain’s new Big Arch burger.

The moment came just days before the Big Arch officially launched in the United States on March 3, 2026. The oversized burger had already rolled out in select international markets, including the UK and Ireland, as part of McDonald’s broader push to expand its core menu.

In a video shared online, Kempczinski was seen tasting the sandwich while describing it as a “product” after taking an extremely small bite, a clip that quickly spread across social media and drew widespread attention ahead of the national debut.

It even garnered a reaction from Burger King President Tom Curtis, who uploaded a video of himself tasting the newly improved Whopper by taking a much bigger bite.

McDonald’s posts message on launch day

On March 3, the same day the Big Arch hit US menus, McDonald’s shared a new post on X featuring a close-up image of the burger.

“Take a bite of our new product,” the company wrote.

The post showed the Big Arch stacked with two quarter pound beef patties, three slices of white cheddar cheese, crispy and raw onions, shredded lettuce, pickles, and its signature Big Arch sauce on a sesame and poppy seed bun.

The response garnered quite a few reactions from followers, including one who quoted the CEO’s “I don’t know how to attack it” comment.

“Start with two hands,” McDonald’s jokingly replied.

This is just the latest release by McDonald’s worldwide. In Canada, the fast-food giant has released a hockey-themed meal while the UK recieved a collab with one of the most iconic sitcoms, Friends, back in February.
