McDonald’s has unveiled a purple menu with a purple hamburger, which is a tribute to Grimace, but you aren’t going to find it everywhere.
Over the years, McDonald’s have paid tribute to a number of their characters. Ronald McDonald is front and centre in most, but you’ve also got the Hamburglar and Grimace.
Grimace has been celebrated a few times over the last few years, including with a Grimace Shake for the character’s 52nd birthday celebrations. That sparked a viral trend which frustrated McDonald’s employees across the globe. While the milkshake has returned at times, the trend has, thankfully, gone away.
However, the purple character is now being celebrated with a tribute menu in Germany, and everything is purple.
McDonald’s purple menu celebrates Grimace in Germany
That’s right, the German arm of McDonald’s has introduced a limited-time Grimace-style menu, with the Grimace Shake making a return.
There is also a Purple Berry and Cream Sauce, a purple cream cheese pie, and a purple McPops with Blueberry filling. Yet, the most eye-catching of the new menu items is a purple BBQ burger.
As Snackolator showed off, the burger buns are purple, as are the sauce and cheese that you’ll find inside.

A number of social media users have noted how the burger is reminiscent of Burger King’s black buns, which was released for Halloween.
“Purple cheese?! Wow, I’m missing out,” one said. “WHY AREN’T WE SELLING THIS IN THE US?!” another asked. “Oh come on, why only Germany? I want a grimace keychain,” another added.

“Everyone hating while I’m hoping it all comes to the us so I can try…,” another user chimed in.
As Snackolator noted, the menu items are only available in Germany for the time being, and there’s no mention of whether or not it’ll be available anywhere else.
However, if you are in the US and want something new, McDonald’s has unveiled a lineup of specialty drinks, which includes a Dirty Dr Pepper.
