How to find Vampsters in Moonlight Peaks
You can find Vampsters all over the map in Moonlight Peaks. They are often well hidden behind trees, in grasses, beneath furniture, and in rather obscure places in each area of the town.
The best way to find a Vampster is to stand in an area for a moment and scan the surroundings carefully, looking for anything that seems out of place. For example, there’s a Vampster laying on a slab in the Cave of Echoes, and another hiding just underneath the decking steps outside Death’s shack.
If you’re in a vast wild area, then it’s a good idea to use your tools to try to clear the overgrowths to help you pinpoint anything that may be hidden there.

What to do with Vampsters in Moonlight Peaks
So what do you do with Vampsters once you’ve found one? In Moonlight Peaks, you need to interact with the Vampster to pick them up. You then need to carry them back to their home near the entrance inside the Cave of Echoes in Misty Shores.
When you’re near the small doorway to their home inside the cave, place them on the ground and they’ll scurry off inside.
However, as simple as that sounds, there are a few things you need to remember:
- Do not talk to anyone — If you talk to another character while you’re holding a Vampster, they’ll jump out of your arms and run away back to their hiding spot.
- Do not put them down — These creatures do not like new places. If you put them down, even for a second, they’ll run back to where you found them.
- Do not drop them off outside the cave — Their home is the doorway within the Cave of Echoes, do not drop them off outside. You’re providing a door to door delivery service.
- Do not take Larry! — Larry is the Vampster that lives with Alina, Larry is happy with their new home and does not wish to return to the cave. Leave Larry to live their best life.
