Sienna Miller, who starred as the Baroness in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, once won a settlement from the tabloid paper The Sun after filing a lawsuit against its parent company, News Group Newspapers, for allegedly intercepting voicemail and leaking private information.

The actress’ lawyers believed the hackers targeted her medical records involving her 2005 pregnancy, with Miller accusing the newspaper of brutally taking away her choice to make the announcement herself.

In an official statement shared via BBC, Miller said:

They very nearly ruined my life. I have certainly seen how they have ruined the lives of others. Their behavior shattered me, damaged my reputation, at times beyond repair, and caused me to accuse my family and friends of selling information that catapulted me into a state of intense paranoia and fear.

As per a report from Daily Mail, the actress demanded £400,000 damages after the tabloid allegedly hacked into her phone, although the outlet revealed she accepted £100,000 from NGN.

The newspaper expressed full support for the Aquaman actress and hoped that her case would continue to inspire other women to speak out against their abusers. The Sun also criticized how people destroyed her reputation on social media.

Depp filed a libel lawsuit against the paper but lost the case after Judge Mr. Justice Nicol confirmed the tabloid proved the article substantially true. As per a report from the BBC, 12 of the 14 alleged incidents of domestic violence had actually occurred.

Wearing a sheer white gown and beach blonde waves, she revealed to the public her third pregnancy. Miller was also very candid about her decision to freeze her eggs as soon as she turned 40 and the pressure that comes with age for women. Now older and wiser, Miller admits she’s a better mom and very much enjoys motherhood.

The 43-year-old star continues to work on several Hollywood projects and will soon appear in the third chapter of the Horizon: An American Saga, an untitled Jack Ryan movie, and the sports biopic Madden.
