Power: Origins reveals new cast members
Starz has revealed new cast additions for Power: Origins, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline. Jennifer Ferrin has been cast as young Kate Egan, described by Starz as “melodramatic, attention-seeking and manipulative, especially if she’s using and desperate to get her hands on her next fix.”
Jason Dirden reprises his role from Power Book III: Raising Kanan as Traymont Stinson. Traymont was once a trusted associate of the Thomas family but later betrayed them. He survived a near-death incident in Season 4, Episode 4.
The new cast also includes Lizzy DeClement as Jill Wexler, Lenny Platt as Lenny Seidell, Armani Gabriel as J-Boogs, and Everett Osborne as Omay Moreau. Jill is a nurse and recovering addict who dreams of attending medical school. She falls for Tommy and challenges his behavior.
Lenny runs a fitness business after starting out as a finance bro and supplies steroids to elite clients. J-Boogs stays sharp and street-smart as a trusted corner boy for Ghost and Tommy. Omay plays tight end for the New York Jets and draws his friends into a lavish world of parties, wealth, and luxury.
The series features Spence Moore as young Ghost and Charlie Mann as young Tommy. MeKai Curtis returns to continue his role as Kanan. Power: Origins directly follows Power Book III: Raising Kanan, which will conclude with its fifth season in 2026. Starz confirmed the first season of Origins will run for 18 episodes, exceeding the 10-episode format of previous spinoffs.
Sascha Penn serves as showrunner and executive producer, alongside Courtney Kemp, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Mark Canton, Chris Selak, Kevin Fox, and Pete Chatmon. Lionsgate Television is producing the series for Starz. Starz describes the new installment as “a fun, rambunctious exploration of a new time period in the Power franchise.”
