Elden Ring Nightreign The Forsaken Hollows DLC is coming with a lot of things, but weapons aren't one of them. But FromSoft will bring some later.
Elden Ring Nightreign The Forsaken Hollows DLC has gotten everyone excited with all the new things coming, but the weapon isn’t one of them. But don’t be disheartened, because FromSoft plans to add new weapons to the game in the future.
Recently, GamerSky got the chance to take an interview with the director of Elden Ring Nightreign, Junya Ishizaki, and got some spicy bits about what’s to come with the newest DLC. During which it was asked what plans FromSoftware had with the lower pick rates of Guardian and Rogue.
And Ishizaki said that they’ll try to improve it by bringing weapons. Here’s what he said (translated):
We are aware of the difficulties players encounter during gameplay. We will try our best to improve this in future updates. We hope to reduce situations where players have no room to maneuver and are forced to give up, such as ranged characters being at a disadvantage in melee combat. We will address this by adding more equipment and weapons.
Since it’s a translation, it’s possible that Ishizaki was only referring to weapons. If it comes in the equipment, then maybe we can see some rework for these Nightfarers, but take it all with a grain of salt.
FromSoft Has Plans To Bring New “Equipment” to Nightreign
Elden Ring Nightreign has quite a lot of varied weapons; however, not all fit well with certain characters. Maybe that’s something FromSoft released themselves, because ability buffs and nerfs are sometimes not enough to balance the charts.

It’s a common threshold every live-service game arrives at, and it either breaks the game or makes it something extraordinary. Alas, not many can crack the code and end up messing up the balance further.
On the other hand, FromSoftware holds a reputation for balancing their games; however, live-service titles are something they’re new to. Maybe the path would be wonky, but FromSoftware is willing to give players what they love, and The Forsaken Hollows DLC is a solid example.
New Weapons Should’ve Arrived With The Forsaken Hollows DLC
The Forsaken Hollows DLC has been a long time coming for Elden Ring Nightreign, and it sure is bringing a lot of new content. A new area to explore, new Nightfarers, and even enemies to fight. The only thing missing is new weapons.
If FromSoftware already knew the game needed more weapons, then it should have been in the pipeline. But that would have taken more time, and fans desperately wanted to try the DLC, so it makes sense why it wasn’t approached for the time being.
