Nicky Katt, whose career included playing many character roles on the big and small screens, has died.
Per Entertainment Weekly, Katt’s death was confirmed by his attorney, John Sloss. However, no circumstances related to the cause were divulged. He was 54 years old.
A former child star born in 1970, Katt had started his career in show business early. In the early 80s, he was appearing in popular TV shows like Fantasy Island, CHiPs, Father Murphy, Herbie, the Love Bug, Trapper John, M.D., and V, among others. In 1984, he landed one of his first movie roles as a schoolchild shown in the beloved horror-comedy movie Gremlins. He’d follow this up wiht a role in Tom Hanks’ The ‘Burbs in 1989, soon after picking up roles in Martians Go Home, and Sister Act.
