NPC Miles Morales got emotional after missing out on Kai Cenat’s Streamer University 2026 roster, admitting he still feels pressure to rely on his viral Spider-Man gimmick.
Kai Cenat returned to streaming on July 6 to reveal the official Class of 2026 for Streamer University, the creator-focused event where selected applicants can take part as students, professors, and club directors.
One creator who did not make the cut was Malik Ambersley, better known online as NPC Miles Morales or Leaks World, who has become a recurring figure in Cenat’s orbit over the last two years.
Malik originally blew up on TikTok Live and Twitch by dressing as Miles Morales and acting like a video game NPC, repeating lines and movements in response to viewers’ gifts. He also became known for moments when he would break character and “crash out” on hecklers or people who interrupted him in public.
He later became a major part of Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 & 3, helping keep the stream active while Cenat slept by reading donations and performing his NPC routine.

Malik gets emotional after missing Streamer University
After Kai’s Streamer University reveal stream, Malik posted a video to X where he apologized to fans who expected him to be selected.
“I just want to say bro, I’m sorry bro,” Malik said through tears. “Everybody who thought I would get in, I appreciate y’all bro. I love y’all bro. We didn’t make it in, but we finna just go use this sh*t as motivation.”
Malik congratulated everyone who did make it into Streamer University, saying the event is “finna go crazy” and that he expects the selected creators to take off.

However, the video quickly shifted into Malik speaking about his struggle to build a career outside of the NPC Miles Morales character.
“I know I be back and forth with this whole ‘I wanna be me’ sh*t,” he said. “But it’s like, real sh*t bro, I know I don’t get paid to be me, bro. I know that Spider-Man sh*t pays.”
Malik said the rejection has pushed him to go even harder across platforms, saying he needs to stream, post on YouTube, make TikTok NPC content, and stay active on Instagram.
“I gotta do everything, bro. I gotta be everywhere,” he said. “And we going up. We using this sh*t as mad motivation.”
He also apologized for ending his own stream abruptly, saying he “needed a moment” after the Streamer University roster was revealed.
“I’m finna be moving mad different, bro,” he added.
Malik had previously spoken about wanting to step back from the NPC gimmick and become known more as himself, but his latest post suggests he still feels caught between that goal and the character that made him famous.
