A 300-year-old Japanese sweet shop has turned One Piece’s iconic Devil Fruits into real edible desserts, recreating Luffy and co.’s powers as handcrafted sweets.
The colorful collaboration transforms traditional Japanese confectionery known as nerikiri into detailed replicas of the series’ most recognizable fruits.
For those unfamiliar, nerikiri are a type of classic Japanese dessert made from sweet bean paste and rice flour. They’re known for their soft texture and delicate sweetness, and are often treated more like edible art than everyday snacks.
What makes this anime collab even cooler is that each Devil Fruit is handmade by Daitokuya Chokyu, a historic sweet maker founded in 1716, so you’re getting some edible history as you chow down on your squishy Devil Fruit.
You can finally eat real One Piece Devil Fruits
As for what the edible collab entails, there’s Luffy’s signature Gum-Gum Fruit, Chopper’s Human-Human Fruit, Robin’s Flower-Flower Fruit, Trafalgar Law’s Op-Op Fruit, and Sabo’s Flame-Flame Fruit.
The full set includes all five pieces and comes packaged in a One Piece-themed box, with the whole thing setting you back ¥4,980, which is roughly $31.
According to the Japanese site, the sweets are made using white bean paste, sugar, and glutinous rice flour. Each Devil Fruit dessert also has its own flavor tied to the character, with sweet red bean for Luffy, roasted green tea for Chopper, matcha for Robin, chocolate for Trafalgar Law, and sakura for Sabo.

While you sadly won’t be granted any special powers after eating them, well, unless you count the ability to eat all five in one sitting as a power, these sweets should go down a treat if you ever find yourself in Japan.
