After what Season 3 turned out to be, fans’ wish for a One Punch Man Season 3 remake might actually be happening. But it won’t be by J.C.Staff, MAPPA, or any other professional Japanese studio; rather, it was announced by YouTuber @Middle, who has assembled a team of S-tier fan animators.

While having MAPPA, Bones, or Madhouse handle it would’ve been the ideal news, the initiative itself is still pretty impressive. They’ve even shared a rough storyboard showcasing a specific Garou fight scene from Season 3.

The fan remake of One Punch Man Season 3 has been announced by @Middle and @FLD Studio, and they even revealed the production team behind it. They’ve brought in some big animators like markReymar, konceptochannel, 6ix.uc, and others.

markReymar, in particular, is well-known for his previous fan-made OPM fight scenes on YouTube, especially the Garou vs Gorou-Gorou scene that went viral. So seeing him involved is great news.

Keep Expectations in Check for the OPM Season 3 Remake

At this point, nothing is really set in stone. Whether we’ll actually get the remake, when it may be released, or if the project will even continue is still totally up in the air. With the announcement video gone and no clear follow-up, everything is kind of floating in the air right now.

Another thing to note is that their entire promo was just a short animated fight scene. So even if the remake does move forward, there’s a good chance they might only focus on animating key battles instead of recreating the full storyline. Fan teams usually prioritize hype moments, so even that wouldn’t be too surprising, right?
