Opus: Prism Peak Delayed Once Again to April 2026

Opus: Prism Peak Delayed Once Again to April 2026

Bad news if you’re eagerly anticipating upcoming photography adventure Opus: Prism Peak: it’s been delayed by another month or so to allow the developer to add some extra polish.

According to a press release, Opus: Prism Peak, which was originally set to launch this month, will now be arriving on April 16th instead. The launch will still be happening simultaneously on PC, Switch 2, and Switch, though, so you won’t need to wait longer for your chosen platform.

Developer Sigono and publisher Shueisha Games say that the delay will allow them time to «refine the game’s breathtaking art style and emotionally rich narrative to its fullest potential», with Shueisha’s Jonathan Wang promising the delay will ensure the game «fully reflects the heart and craftsmanship behind the project».

Opus: Prism Peak Delayed Once Again to April 2026

Opus: Prism Peak is the latest game in the Opus series of narrative-focused adventures, which also includes entries like 2018’s Rocket of Whispers and 2021’s Echo of Starsong.

This time around, the narrative is focused on Eugene, a photographer-slash-cafe owner who gets pulled into a realm of «fading light and unspoken sorrow» by the name of the Dusklands.

While he’s there, Eugene comes across a mysterious young girl whose only memory is that she’s heading for a distant mountain, and together, the two set off to help the girl achieve her objective and to help Eugene find a way home.

As you travel through the Dusklands, you’ll be able to use Eugene’s camera to take photos of important events and to create memories for yourself; Sigono refers to photography as «both a tool and a metaphor» within the world of Opus: Prism Peak.

Opus: Prism Peak is now set for release across PC, Switch 2, and Switch on April 16th. Hopefully, this is the last delay and the game will be in your hands sooner rather than later. Stay tuned for more.
