Overwatch is set to bring new skins to the game as part of a crossover with Nier Automata.
When a leaked image of an Overwatch x NieR: Automata crossover first started surfacing online, a lot of fans were caught off guard.
Blizzard has sent out skin surveys before, but few expected this to be the next collaboration, especially since the Hello Kitty collab in this season only just wrapped up.
Turns out, the leak was real all along, with five heroes set to receive new skins. Here’s everything we know so far, including what it brings and when it releases.
Overwatch x Nier Automata crossover release date
The Overwatch and Nier Automata crossover will be released on March 10, 2026.
This date comes from Blizzard’s official post on X. With that in mind, we can expect the skins to be available in the shop as soon as the new update drops.
All Project YorHa skins

A total of five heroes will get new skins based on characters from Nier Automata. While the in-game render hasn’t been revealed just yet, we do have a first look at the official art shared by the devs.
From this, the skin line up can be seen as follows:
- Kiriko as 2B
- Vendetta as A2
- Wuyang as 9S
- Mercy as Commander White
- Lifeweaver as Adam
This marks the first time that our DPS hero Vendetta receives a crossover skin, despite being considered a new hero.
As for whatever else to expect, it’s likely that we’ll be getting an in-game event themed around the crossover, much like the case with LE SSERAFIM, Cowboy Bebop, and many others. Though do take this information with a grain of salt for now.

At the time of writing, it’s also currently unknown how much these skins will cost. Blizzard typically shares more information once we get closer to the date, and we’ll be sure to update this section once more are available.
