Oxygen SR3 PvE and PvP god rolls — Destiny 2

If you’re in the mood for one of the better PvE Scout Rifles in Destiny 2, look no further than the Oxygen SR3 with the god rolls in this guide.

The Oxygen SR3 Scout Rifle is a classic Destiny 2 weapon reprised in the Edge of Fate expansion, and the god rolls you want for PvE and PvP are wildly different. It can be effective in both modes, but truly shines in one over the other.

For the Solar enjoyers out there, especially those who prefer to fight at a distance, the Oxygen SR3 PvE god roll is a godsend. Healing, damage, controllability — this weapon has it all, and there are so many good combinations to choose from. Here’s our favorite.

Barrel	Arrowhead Brake (+30 Recoil, +10 Handling)
Magazine	Tactical Mag (+1 magazine, +5 stability, +10 reload speed)
Perk 1	Heal Clip (Reloading shortly after a kill applies Cure to you and nearby allies.)
Perk 2	Meganeura (Precision kills create an elemental explosion that deals more damage based on the number of rapid precision hits dealt before the kill.)
Origin Trait	Problem Solver (Dealing damage to a Champion, miniboss, or boss enemies exhausts them and grants additional handling and reload speed. Exhausted enemies deal reduced outgoing damage.)
Masterwork	Stability (+10 Stability when maxed out.)
Mod	Backup Mag (Up to +4 additional rounds in the magazine when Enhanced.)

This setup for the Oxygen SR3 turns it into Polaris Lance at home, with the added benefit of healing after every kill. That makes it especially effective in higher-difficulty content where you won’t want to be up in your enemy’s face but still need to dish out the DPS to progress.

If the huge Vangaurd logo on its side wasn’t a huge hint, the Oxygen SR3 isn’t really designed with the Crucible in mind. Sure, using it can result in some funny moments, but don’t expect it to outperform a PvP-oriented Scout or other weapon better suited to fighting other Guardians.

Perk 2	Box Breathing (Aiming this weapon for a short period without firing grants bonus range and precision damage that resets after firing or leaving ADS.)
Origin Trait	Omolon Fluid Dynamics (This weapon has increased reload speed and stability for the top half of the magazine)
Masterwork	Stability (+10 Stability when maxed out.)
Mod	Backup Mag (Up to +4 additional rounds in the magazine when Enhanced.)

We’ve chosen some of the best perks that add a little spice to the Oxygen SR3 in PvP, but it’s a bit of an uphill battle all the same. You can really invest in Solar buffs and effects, and maybe get something done. Just don’t expect the same performance as even, say, the Mida Multitool.

How to get the Oxygen SR3

When it isn’t on Zavala’s weekly Vanguard Arms Rewards, there are two main ways to get your hands on an Oxygen SR3:

As a random (or determined, depending on the day) reward from Pinnacle Ops activities.
Purchase from Zavala’s Focused Decoding (Pinnacle Ops) screen for three Vanguard Engrams, three Vanguard Ciphers, and 15,000 Glimmer.
