Quests in Pathologic 3 range from the simple to the downright esoteric, but some are just quirky, requiring you to do things that don’t make a whole lot of sense. One of these quests begins with the Theft thought, found in your mind map on Day 5. You’ll learn through some dialogue that Clara, the Changeling, is suspected of stealing morphine from the hospital.
Is this the truth? To find out, you’ll need to talk to Clara, but that’s easier said than done. Trying to talk with her at the hospital leads to a dead end, but where do you go from there?
How To Talk To Clara At The Warehouse District
Clara can be found, once you’ve spooked her from the hospital, at the pub, which is within the Warehouse district. Here, trying to talk to her will likely be yet another dead end, and give Daniil a big Mania boost to boot.
If you talk to the brothers at the bar, you’ll get a hint about how Clara works — she will reflect the mood state of a person talking to her. At this point, to progress the quest, you’ll need to be at full Mania. Getting there is quite easy: simply talk to Clara over and over again — she’ll repeat the infuriating conversation that spikes Daniil’s Mania until it’s at the maximum.
You’ll then be able to talk to Clara about the morphine theft and her reasonings.
Since you’ll need to get Daniil’s Mania bar completely full as part of this quest, it’s handy to have a nice supply of Apathy-inducing drugs on-hand before going through with things.
This is especially important as there are very few Apathy-inducing interactable objects in the Warehouse district.
Specific choices in this quest aren’t necessary to complete it, but they may change what happens regarding Clara and her adoptive mother in the future, so note this interaction down as a potentially important one!
