Persona5: The Phantom X does a great job proving the ideology of «art imitates life» with how the game flows. Go to school in the day and build your knowledge, train at the gym to become stronger, and clean up around the house.

For a game that focuses on your life as a thief, they sure don’t want you to forget about contributing to society. One of the many ways you can become an upstanding citizen is by working one of the many part-time jobs available and build up your bank account.

Making money in Persona5: The Phantom X is something you won’t want to neglect, especially early on. Yen earned by working jobs is used to buy crafting materials, cosmetics, and companion gifts that help build up synergy levels for certain relationships.

If you avoid these jobs for too long, you’ll find yourself missing out on important missions and rewards from synergy levels. Plus, training at the gym and studying at the diner both cost a bit of Yen as well, which means there are plenty of places to spend your hard-earned dough.

How To Make Money Faster In Persona5: The Phantom X

When it comes to making Yen in Persona5: The Phantom X, there are two available options for you to take advantage of. Daily rewards, objectives, and Synergy rank ups will offer you a stack of cash, while the other is to work hard for your money.

Not to be confused with Konpaku Gems, which are another form of currency meant to build your thieves up, Yen is specifically meant for in-game activities and materials. I would suggest doing as many of the available options as you can early on, so that you’re not playing catch-up later in your playthrough.

Working Jobs Brings In Some Easy Cash

Checking in for your daily activities, you may notice that one of the options could be an opportunity to work at a part-time job. Don’t get me wrong, I would also prefer to play video games at home or take a soak, but these part-time jobs pay pretty well and only take a few moments to get through.

Some jobs are a little tougher than others, but that’s mostly portrayed in the in-game dialogue. You won’t have to do anything special except read through the script, but here are the available jobs for you to take advantage of:

  • Convenience Store
  • Flower Shop
  • Soup Bowl Deli

One thing to look out for is when a job has the «Big Rewards» tag on the job you’re eyeing. This identifies a higher-paying shift due to an event being held at the place of work, and will grant you a larger sum of money after you complete your shift.

I get it though, you didn’t download Persona5: The Phantom X to sit in class all day and work an entry-level job, you’re here for the action. There is another way to earn cash, albeit it is more sporadic and less predictable, so don’t count on it as much as working jobs.

Form Your Bonds And Collect Occasional Rewards

While not as reliable a source of revenue as a part-time job is, you can still add some cash to your wallet with objectives, rewards, Synergy building, and contract trials. While they do offer quite a generous amount, keep in mind that these are a one-time payment and can not be replicated once earned.

On the bright side, you can still work those part-time jobs while collecting these rewards to get the best bang for your buck. There’s nothing like working a hard shift and getting paid, and then coming home to find that a nice bonus is waiting for you because of a mission you completed.

It’s the best of both worlds, but really, you should probably pick up a shift or two whenever you can. Raw materials to create useful items like lockpicks require Yen, and if you want to impress certain characters with a gift at the end of your dialogue, you’ll need to buy them with the money you earned.
