Fancy yourself a pixel-art dystopian platforming adventure? You might be wise to check out Full Void, which has just landed on PlayStation consoles.
From London-based developer OutOfTheBit, Full Void is a platforming adventure filled with puzzles set in a dark, futuristic world. Artificial intelligence has got out of control, with humans suddenly finding themselves oppressed under the rule of tyrannical robots. It’s a less than ideal situation to be in, then – but taking on the role of a young teenager, you hold the key to discover the truth about the state of society.
We’ve got to admit that Full Void’s plot sounds incredibly intriguing. It helps, too, that it looks absolutely sublime: its pixel art is brilliantly detailed, channeling adventure games of years gone by while still looking wholly original.
Full Void launched earlier this year on PC, Xbox and Switch – and it holds a “very positive” review score on Steam. Its launch onto PlayStation means that even more players will be able to enjoy this compelling tale. It’s cheap, too: it’s just £11.99, and if you’re a PS Plus member you can enjoy a 20% discount until 24th October.

However, if you fancy playing this classic-inspired adventure in a true retro format, it’s coming to Evercade later this month. It’s the first game to get a standalone release on the system, and is getting both a standard and a limited edition release on 31st October. Check it out here.
