Pizza Hut is trying to turn crust-haters into crust-lovers by introducing a new type of pizza, along with a giveaway featuring free crust for a year.
The crust is often viewed as the worst part of a pizza. It’s not uncommon for someone to eat a slice up to the crust and then discard what’s left. In fact, 19% of consumers say they completely skip the crust.
Others, on the other hand, adore crust and consider it to be one of the most underrated parts of a pie.
To remedy this, Pizza Hut has announced a new Crispy Parm Pan Pizza, featuring crispy parmesan on the outer crust and extra cheese on the whole pizza. The best part? It starts at just $10 for a medium one-topping.
Pizza Hut is giving away a year’s worth of free crust
The Crispy Parm Pan Pizza comes as Pizza Hut has doubled down on crust with its “For the Love of Hut Crust” program.
Just earlier this year, the chain announced it was hiring a Crust Connoisseur to eat pizza for a whole year, and now it’s looking for a wide range of opinions on the outer edge of pizza.
“Team crust lover or crust leaver? Score free pizza crust for a year! Share your take on the pizza crust debate for a chance to win,” the chain says.

Customers are asked to share their opinions on crust on TikTok and Instagram for the chance to win.
You won’t actually be getting leftover crust, though. The official rules say that 19 winners will get two Pizza Hut gift cards valued at $520.
Still, the chain is confident that this new creation will win over even the biggest crust haters.

“Crust has always been at the heart of what makes Pizza Hut iconic. With its bold, parmesan-baked edge, we are confident the Crispy Parm Pan Pizza is a crust that can change minds and turn everyone into a crust lover,” Melissa Friebe, Chief Marketing Officer at Pizza Hut said.
