PSN's July Savings Promotion Has $1.99 Games Worth Playing
The list of games below consists of titles that might have gone unnoticed by most gamers given they aren’t AAA fare. Even so, these are titles that warrant a look, especially since they are extremely affordable.
Most Notable Games From The List
Hotline Miami ($1.99) — Possibly the most popular of the entire list, this top-down shooter has been ported to almost every electronic device under the sun. It’s a bona fide commercial success and has received multiple awards and nominations due to its creativity, soundtrack, and more.
Thomas Was Alone ($1.99) — This puzzle-platform game was created by Mike Bithell and was originally released as a Flash-based game in 2010. It has since been expanded and has seen release on major gaming platforms. It’s also an award-winning BAFTA game, which you wouldn’t know just by looking at the game’s graphics.
Slender: The Arrival ($1.19) — Based on a creepypasta, this horror game might not match its AAA counterparts, but it’s the perfect game to encapsulate the list. It’s scary, not a long game, and doesn’t overstay its welcome. It’s the perfect game to snatch up on a whim, to try something new without any regrets, given its price.
